With noteworthy grand and premier cru vineyard holdings in Gevrey-Chambertin and Pommard, ex-fighter pilot Xavier Horiot took over the family winery from his grandfather in 2011. Xavier's family began wine production way back in the 18th century in Chassagne-Montrachet, before the family settled in their current site in Pommard in the mid-1800s. Taking advantage of many old vine plantings, the wines are made from small berries and low yields, producing natural intensity and fine concentration.

These are wonderful, expressive, very pure wines at the heart of which lie impressive Pommards...The Grand Crus would also give some bigger names a run for their money.
