Domaine Bony Gachot

Sixty years ago, Jean-Pierre Bony founded this small winery where the vineyards meet the village of Nuits-Saint-Georges. Sadly, his untimely passing in 2001 thrust his relatively young daughter, Fabienne, into the role of owner and winemaker. Fortunately, she has proved to be the right woman for the job! Adhering strongly to non-interventionist winemaking techniques, over the past two decades Fabienne has grown this now six hectare estate in size and stature. Her wines are often regarded as “feminine” in that they possess finesse and elegance rather than raw power, but nevertheless maintain a solid structure; these wines will therefore improve if allowed a few years’ cellaring. "When cultivating our vines, our sole driving force is the need to obtain really healthy grapes and great ripeness. Constant, meticulous care at each stage allows us to obtain a high-quality end-product." She produces a range of red and white wines including both Village-level and Premier Crus from Nuits-Saint-Georges and nearby Vosne-Romanée.
