Hospices de Beaune wines from Maison Albert Bichot

In addition to their own wines, Albert Bichot is also the largest buyer of wines produced by the world-famous Hospices de Beaune. Over several centuries, the hospital in Beaune (Hospice) has been gifted several nearby vineyards by winemaking families who have had a charitible interest in ensuring that the community hospital flourished. Today each vintage, yielding 52 different wines, is managed by the Hospice, whose winemaking team led by BurgDirect friend Ludivine Griveau vinifies and fills barrels of wine to be auctioned off to consumers. The proceeds of these sales support the hospital. The barrels are then transferred to and aged in Albert Bichot's cellars, culminating in bottling and labeling of the wines. Each label is permitted to carry the prestigious symbol of the Hospice de Beaune charity but can be customized to include the name of the actual buyer (you!). Domaines Albert Bichot is the world's expert at the process of acquiring the barrels and finishing the wines, partitioning them among end buyers, and even directly selling individual bottles. As a BurgDirect partner, we are excited to recommend working with them to get these impossible-to-find wines easily, simply and competently - perhaps even customized with your name - and have them delivered to you.
