- Family viticultural history runs deep at Dubois, back to around 1600 when Emiland Dubois, the first known ancestor and winegrower, was born. Today, ninth generation sister and brother, Béatrice and Raphaël Dubois, run this venerable 20 hectare Côte de Nuits estate using modern methods and techniques. While staying true to their terroir, they strive to get their vines to deliver deep, dense fruit, but with elegance and length. With natural biodynamic farming in mind, the team long ago adopted the principles of minimal pesticide use. In the cellar, they are equally careful and particular, selecting just the right barrels for each lot of wine, sourcing them from no less than seven different coopers! Often winning awards from Decanter and French press, the domaine produces a range of Village and Premier Crus, as well as an elegant Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru.
